The biggest need at the present time is for Fidgit (lap) Quilts 20” X 20” up to 24”. These small quilts are for persons with some form of Dementia to give them something to ‘feel’ and ‘explore’. Three places are making requests at this time. Additional directions and examples are on the Community Projects table.
The Community Projects group delivered 96 pillow cases to Recycling Furniture for Families. They were very grateful. And yes, they accept sheets, blankets, kitchen and many other household items to help those in need. We have more finished pillow cases that will go to another organization after our next meeting.
Baby Blankets 40” X 40” up to 60” and Cancer Quilts 40” X 60” may be turned in at all of our general meetings. 4 Cancer and 10 Baby quilts were turned in at the last general meeting.
Thank you again for responding to the need for Children without Beds. It was a total success with 81 quilts completed for them.
