The time has finally arrived to bring your Creative Challenge pieces to view at the January general meeting. Special tables will be set up to show these ‘Out of the Box’ wonders of your imagination. Bring your piece to the table as soon as possible so that others may see what you have created. Please leave them for viewing till after the break.

Our New Year is starting and of our many projects, we will continue to accept ALL and distribute them to the appropriate places. Our main focus will be Baby blankets for March, continue Cancer Comfort quilts and Nursing Home lap quilts plus Fidgit quilts. Hopefully these will give you enough different choices that at least one will be your ‘cup of tea’ to work on and donate. We have some kits available for Cancer and Nursing Home size projects at the Community Projects table. Cathie Lockwood and Carol Lou Eisenhardt The retreat is just around the corner. Everyone should have received an email with the information you will need and schedules. If you did not get it first check your spam folder. If you haven;t gotten it there then contact me and I will send it to you.
Arrival time on Friday morning is 8:45. We will have people to help you unload under the portico. We will unload you and take your stuff into the lobby and you can park your car. No saving of seats please. Seating is on a first come, first served basis. If you are on the waiting list, I will let you know if I have an opening as soon as possible. Currently we are down to just 4 people that have not gotten spots. Some of my committee has given up there spots so that others could get in. The Quilt Corner from Morton will be our shop and Frank from Piece and Applique will be there to clean machines. Also a massage therapist will be giving chair massages for $1 a minute. There will be a free table. Please remember what ever doesn't get taken must go home with you. If you have any questions please direct them to Carolyn Gatenby.. Th2 2019 Mennonite Relief Sale will be held March 15th & 16th at the Interstate Center. If you would like to donate a wall hanging or quilt for the auction – or an item for the bazaar – please contact Mary Sanko for details. The committee is requesting a picture of all quilted items donated to the auction. Please bring your donation to the March meeting. She will make sure it gets to the sale and will obtain a tax receipt for you. Mary Sanko |
