It’s time to start making a new raffle quilt. The design is done, the fabric is purchased and cut, and now I need your help. Please stop by to see me at the September and October meeting and pick up a packet or two of kits to make the blocks.
I promise they are very easy. Each kit will have enough fabric to make several blocks.
The blocks are- four patches
Two rectangles sewn together for make a square
Half square triangles (you don’t have to trim them)
Take kits for one, two, or all three types. I only ask that you sign out how many of each type of block kits you’ve taken and you return them to me the following month. EASY!
Thanks in advance for your help. I couldn’t do it without your help.
Our guild is large and has many wonderful groups from which to choose. Whether you are a new member or have been in the guild for many years, you are welcome to come to the mentor class and meet quilters who enjoy quilting and learning new skills just like you.

At the September mentoring class we will be doing the Disappearing Nine Patch. The Disappearing Nine Patch is a simple variation on the traditional nine patch block. It looks intricate and impressive, but is very easy and quick to make. It is a perfect beginner’s quilt or a great pattern for anyone who wants to whip up a quick baby quilt. This is an idea pattern for a scrap quilt and a great way to use those charm square packs. You can also make a neat ‘I Spy’ quilt by using novelty squares in the corners. We will be making a table runner so stop by to get the supply list.

Turn a TV tray into an ironing station using a fat quarter and some heat resistant batting. It's perfect for classes and just the thing to save you time and steps while piecing. There will be a pattern required.
