Forty baby quilts were given to the two local hospitals on National Quilting Day. Ladonna reports that both nursing staffs were excited to receive them. A big thank you to everyone who donated!
Our guild is large and has many wonderful groups from which to choose. Whether you are a new member or have been in the guild for many years, you are welcome to come to the mentor class and meet quilters who enjoy quilting and learning new skills just like you.
The Mentor program meets the third Thursday of the month at 6:30PM at the Mennonite church. On April 20th, we will be making vinyl project bags. With these handy bags, it is easy to see and find the project you want to work on. See you all at the Quilt Show. Door Hostess
A few months ago, a member gave Mary a guest fee to pay for her friend who might be coming to the meeting. We still have the money! If the money belongs to you, please see Mary at the Door Hostess table. The door hostesses also send cards to members or their families when there has been a major event in their lives. Please send an email to Linda Hutchins if you know someone. Mary Wuhrmann Linda Hutchins Debi Winchester, Linda Click, Suzie McGuire, Jenny Pettinger
The end of the guild year is almost here! We hope you'll be at the April meeting where we will unveil next year's lineup of speakers and workshops. We have a great year planned. Several workshops are designed for you to use fabrics from your stash - great idea, right? Lisa Bongean's visit in March was really well attended and we're looking forward to seeing your wool projects at show and tell in April. Congratulations to JEAN KUETHE who won a free class by volunteering at March's workshops!! Let Debi Winchester know if you are interested to help out in April and be in the running for your free workshop.
