A huge thanks to everyone who made this year’s Spectrum another success. Many people worked hard and smart to make it all come together. The quilt entries showed a lot of skill and creativity, the vendors had a lot of nice things to buy, the committees coordinated to produce the sort of show we are known for, and our members turned out to support it. The winners of the quilt judging and the raffle drawing winners are on the guild website under Guild News and Events.
Several of the committee chairs will be serving again next year. Other slots will need to be filled. In particular, the publicity committee will need new members. The old members have good documentation to pass on for your help. This committee this year sent out the notices to local and state media and worked with the chair to update signage for the show. They were also in charge of buying the outdoor signage: the yard signs and the feather signs at the entrance to the show. If you can do all or a part of this kind of thing, let us know. Some of the media notices need to be sent out earlier in the fall. This committee could also be split up. If you are able to take any of this on, please let us know. Gerry Schrock will be president next year and, in the absence of a new chairman for the show, can keep track of who is volunteering until a new chairman is found. You can also be the new chairman. You don’t have to do anything but let everyone else do their jobs.
Openings for the rest of the committees needing new members can be filled next year.
See you all at the Salad Supper.
