Plans for the show are progressing, and the show entry form is ready to fill out. Paper copies will be available at the December meeting at the Quilt Show table in the back, and a downloadable copy will be available on the Guild website in December.
Changes in categories for this year include adding a miniature quilt size and dropping the theme entry. The pieced quilts will be divided into three sizes to make the category sizes more equal. Pieced quilts typically account for the largest group of entries. We changed the wording in the youth quilts to say only that they must be constructed by the entrant, since many quilts are not constructed and quilted by the same person.
The vendor contracts are in the process of being mailed out and returned.
Our quilt show committee slots are pretty well filled. It would be good for someone to come on board to co-chair the show so that person will be ready to step up next year to take over.
Get your entry forms filled out as soon as you know you will be entering something in the show. It helps the committee to plan the layout.
