Another big thank you to everyone who made this year’s quilt show a success. It once again showcased the talent of our Guild members. Over eight hundred people enjoyed the day, visiting the vendors, admiring the handiwork of our featured artist Connie Guhlstorf, and enjoying the comfortable surroundings. Congratulations to Mary Sanko, whose quilt won the Best in Show. The complete list of winners is listed in this newsletter and is available on the Guild website.
The reports for the show committees are coming in and should be complete in time to lay show duties aside for the summer. If you were a committee chairman and have not yet written your report, please finish up in time for the May meeting.
Several members who headed committees this year have volunteered to continue for next year’s show. In September, a call will go out to fill in the rest of the needs. I will not mention the need for someone to be chairman and/or co-chairman for 2018. You may have the peace of a summer without being harassed about it. But think about it.
Remember to bring in your yard signs to put away for next year. We will be collecting them at the meeting.
