August Mentoring Project

Basic sewing supplies:
            sewing machine
            rotary cutter, ruler
            scissors, thread, Wonder clips
            zipper foot
 
Materials:
            1 Fat Quarter – fun fabric
            1 Fat Quarter for binding or double fold bias tape
            20 mm fold over elastic (5 ½”)
            7” Zipper
 
We will provide:
            Lightweight Mesh (white or you can get your own)
            Clear Vinyl
            Pellon fusible batting
           
Before class, make the bias tape if you are not using package double fold bias tape

1. Cutting:

 
From main fabric:     cut two 11 ½” x 6” – for front and back
                                     cut three 2” x 4 ¾” for binding pockets
From stabilizer:         cut one piece 11 ½” x 6”

1. Sewing:

 
Before class layer and quilt:   
back fabric – batting – front fabric.
